The study period prior to the Doctoral Programme is developed around the Master's Degree Programme in Information and Knowledge Society.
The Master's Degree Programme stems from the research and academic activities carried out in the UOC. The main objective is to train specialists capable of comprehending and analysing the changes and new organisation of society, economy, culture, government, law and politics caused by the emergence of information and communication technologies.
The Master's Degree Programme in the Information and Knowledge Society comprises four recommended trajectories, configured through the choice of elective subjects:
These trajectories have been designed on a non-exclusive basis so that students can prepare themselves for empirical research in the areas in which information and communication technologies have had the strongest impact: the new economy and the network firm, the new forms of public management, the new political and social phenomena related to the new technologies, culture and media.
