To apply for entrance to the organised research period of the Information and Knowledge Society Doctoral Programme, the future student must meet the general requirements, the University requirements and the specific requirements of the Programme.
Firstly, students must accredit that they meet one of the following cases:
If the candidate has not passed the university Master's research initiation credits, they will have to study the bridging courses determined by the programme, as the case may be.
If the candidate only holds an official university graduate which, in accordance with EU legal regulations, comprises 300 ECTS, or they have not completed 20 research initiation credits, their continuacne on the doctoral programme is conditioned by their passing bridging courses that match the module, pathway or research initiation subjects for the corresponding learing period.
Apart from the general requirements and the additional ones established by the University, the Information and Knowledge Society Doctoral Programme has the following specific requirements:
Candidates should submit the formal entry application and associated documentation, according to the established requirements and terms.
Fulfilling these requirements, however, does not guarantee admission to the Doctoral Programme’s organised research period. These requirements are the necessary conditions for presenting one’s candidacy in the competitive entrance examinations.
The selection of admitted students to the Doctoral Programme’s research period is based solely on scientific and academic qualification. Apart from the admission requirements which the students must necessarily fulfil, the University takes into account firstly, the candidates’ academic record and secondly, how far their training, experience and research interests adapt to the areas of knowledge or themes associated to the Doctoral Programme. The prior scientific production of the future students is also taken into account.
If you do not fulfil the general requirements for entrance and wish to gain a Master’s degree in the Information and Knowledge Society or another official Master’s degree with an itinerary of initiation into research, you can check the conditions for entrance by clicking on the following link.
