The Seminar on Communication and Civil Society becomes a research programme.
The Communication and Civil Society programme, codirected by Manuel Castells and Joan Coscubiela, has its origin in the “Seminar on Communication and Civil Society” carried out in 2011. The programme is composed by researchers from different areas of studies, and with diverse professional, social and cultural backgrounds. The research programme for 2012 is structured around three main areas: The Internet and Politics, Transformations in Civil Society and Media and Mass Self-Communication.
