Dr. Manuel Armayones Ruiz (

. Manuel Armayones PhD in Psychology from the Barcelona University. As
Researcher and Lecturer at Open University from Catalonia. His work mainly focuses on the
conceptual analysis of the role of patients in the knowledge society, specifically in the use of
ICT to be informed and empowered in face of diseases.
He work like researcher in the PsiNET Research Group from the Internet Interdisciplinary
Institute (IN3 from UOC) in different projects, like APTIC project (patients associations and ICT,
http://www.redsocialaptic.org),Cerebral Palsy-ICT project,and projects in collaboration with
international partners in Europe and America.
Actually the main interest is to establish if participation in social networks has a positive
effect on psychological variables such as: self-efficacy, perceived social support, anxiety and the
effect of use of ICT in different populations groups.

clima motivacional i de les actituds de fairplay en futbolistes alevins I infantils I efectes
de l'assessorament psicològics a llurs entrenadors' (September 1997), ('Evaluation of the
motivational environment and fairplay attitudes of underage footballers and the effects of
psychological advice from their coaches'). Masters in Psychology of Sport (July 1995) and graduated
in Psychology at the same university (June 1991).
From 1991 to 2002 she was a professor of Data Analysis and Research Methods in the Department
of Psychobiology and Methodology in Health Sciences in the Psychology Faculty of the
Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona. She also collaborates on some research by GEPE (Sport
Psychology Studies Group) at the same university. She is currently teaching Psychology and
Educational Science at UOC and she is a member of the PSINET research group.
Dra. Beni Gómez-Zúñiga (

Phd in Psychology from the University of Barcelona (2001) with her thesis on the processes of
thinking and reasoning in daily-life situations. She had previously obtained a bachelor's degree in
Philosophy (1990) and Psychology (1991) and she broadened her studies at Yale University (USA) for
2 years (1991-1993).
From 1994 to 2005 she taught History of Psychology at UAB and was a member of the Basic
Psychology Department. During that time, she participated in research projects not only related to
the history of psychology but also related to the basic psychological processes of thought and
memory, as well as projects relating to teaching and virtuality.
She has been a professor at UOC since 2005, where she coordinates courses in basic psychology.
She is also a member of the PSINET research team, which studies health psychology in the
information and knowledge society.
Dra. Noemí Guillamón Cano (

PhD in Psychology from UAB (2003) with her thesis
'Variables socioeconómicas y problemas interiorizados y exteriorizados en niños y
adolescentes' ('Socioeconomical variables and internal and externally projected problems
amongst children and teenagers') as part of the PhD programme Childhood and Adolescent
Psychopathology. She holds a Postgraduate degree in '
disseny I estadística en ciències de la salut' (2000) ('design and statistics in health
sciences') and she has a bachelor's degree from the same university (1998). She worked as a
therapist in the Behavioural Therapy Unit of UAB (2000-2002) and she has also worked as a child
psychologist in a private clinic.
From 2002 to 2006 she taught courses in Psychological Evaluation, Introduction to Children and
Adult Psychology, Infant and Youth Psychopathology and Personality Psychology in the Psychology
Department of UAB. Also in UAB, she is a researcher in the Epidemic and Diagnostic Psychopathology
Development Unit. She is currently teaching Psychology and Educational Science at UOC, where she
coordinates subjects within the field of clinical psychology as well as being a member of the
PSINET research team.
Dra. Eulàlia Hernández i Encuentra (

PhD in Psychology (1994). She began her academic career at UAB in 1998 in the field of
developmental psychology.
Since then, together with some clinical and educational practice, she has been a researcher
and teacher in the Evolution of Psychology and Educational Psychology in UAB, UOC and Ramon Llull
University, where she was course coordinator. In 2002, she joined the Department of Psychology and
Educational Studies at UOC, coordinating the course on developmental psychology while continuing as
an associate professor specialised in this topic at UAB. She continues developing her research as a
member of the PSINET research team, which studies health psychology in the information and
knowledge society.

He studied Psychology in the Rovira i Virgili University (2003). He also has
participated in the doctoral program of Clinical and Health Psychology organized by the department
of personality, assessment and psychological treatment of the University of Barcelona. He has
presented in this program his research project: “Risk factors in whiplash: a Delphi Poll” . From
2002 to 2007 he has performed research and educational activities in the Department of Psychology
of the Univeristy Rovira i Virgili. He taught several subjects of the degree in Psychology in this
university and he has collaborated in several research projects. Most of the research that he has
performed is in the area of Health Psychology, specifically in the assessment and treatment of pain
problems.
He has been a professor at UOC since 2007, where he coordinates courses in the field of
clinical psychology. He is also a member of the PSINET research team, which studies health
psychology in the information and knowledge society.
Dra. Modesta Pousada Fernández (

Obtained her PhD in Psychology at the
Universitat de Barcelona in 1996. Her thesis was a historical study of the relationship
between legal medicine and psychopathology.
From 1991 to 2002 she taught in the Department of Basic Psychology in the
Universitat
de Barcelona, where she taught the History of Psychology; Psychology of Memory; Attention,
Perception and Memory; and Representation of Language. During this time, she was also a member of
research groups studying the History of Psychology and Memory. In 2001, she joined the programme in
Castillian (Spanish) of the
Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, coordinating courses in Basic Psychology. In 2003, she
became a professor of Psychology and Educational Science.
She is currently a member of the PSiNET research group, which studies health psychology in the
information and knowledge society.
