Doctoral studies

DigiBiz faculty engage in core research courses and seminars for the UOC's Doctoral Programme in Information and Knowledge Society.

Doctoral candidates in fields of digital business develop their research activity independently yet under the close supervision of DigiBiz faculty, and they have appropriate forums to present and discuss their research.

The diversity of interests covered by DigiBiz faculty enable them to supervise doctoral theses on a range of topics within four main areas of doctoral research:

1) The economics of internet markets and online business models.

2) Human resources management: flexible work arrangements, virtual work, quality of work-life, work-related informal learning.

3) Financial capability and entrepreneurship.

4) Digital marketing and consumer behaviour: user experiences and engagement on social media, the impact of eWOM on consumer decisions.

Prospective researchers for the UOC's Doctoral Programme in Information and Knowledge Society are invited to explore whether their interests fit with the following areas of doctoral research supported by the DigiBiz faculty.
