"Data Analysys techniques in a virtual-lab environment"
Director de la Tesis: Dr. José Antonio Morán
Descripción de la línea de investigación
The project focuses on the research of data analysis techniques and information data management in an virtual-lab specific environment for multimedia and telecommunications. The validation of the new approach of the new interactive virtual-lab needs the use of advanced data analysis techniques. The PhD student research is focused in the use of advanced data analysis techniques statistical analysis, genetic algorithms and others) to:
- analyze and modeling the student use of the objects in the new online-lab in order to conclude which is the best use and the best distribution of interactive objects in the virtual-lab.
- define a set of rules to help the teacher in the evaluation of student activities.
- predict the student performance from the results of the previous evaluation activities.
The results of the research project should help the academic community to improve the design of virtual-labs in multimedia and telecommunication grades.
