"Patients associations needs in relation to information, education and support: an ICT based intervention"

Description of the line of research
The Psinet research group is accepting PhD Programme applications. The thesis will be related to the research lines of "Psinet". The group's research focuses on citizens' lifestyle, health and quality of life; an evaluation of the adequacy of the Internet as a medium to promote healthy life standards; and the design of an online healthy life standards; and the design of an online programme to promote healthy habits
The main task will be the analysis of patients associations' needs in relation to information, education and support; and the design of an intervention based on ICT use. This work is part of the research on two topics in which Psinet is engaged in: ICT uses by associations of patients (APTIC and Hospital de Nens de Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona), and ICT uses and intervention for caregivers of patients with cerebral paralysis.
Academic profile
Candidates should have a degree on health sciences and some experience in work or research in this field.
