The Project Internet Catalonia is an interdisciplinary research program on the society of the information in Catalonia that has carried out researching of Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, with the collaboration of different organizations and people in the survey tasks and documentation.
It is a basic project of research without no type of commercial implication or recommendations of policy. The results of the investigation are public and spread in Internet, by means of the UOC webside, in addition to being published in the habitual channels by means of books, articles in scientific magazines and professional communications in academic congresses and seminaries.
The Project Internet Catalonia, initiate on September of 2001, counts, from its origins, with the financing and the institutional support of the Government of the Generalitat de Catalonia by means of diverse of its departments.
